The fifteenth edition of the Youth in Entrepreneurship: Status and Prospects project competition was held in Kazan. The event, timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Entrepreneurship, brought together students with entrepreneurial competencies who were ready to present projects aimed at achieving the goals of socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan to a competent jury. The competition was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, with the projects being evaluated by representatives of the scientific, pedagogical and business communities of the Republic.
Students of KNRTU have traditionally taken an active part in the competition. The project of Artem Arefiev, a student of the Department of Medical Engineering, entitled "Socio-economic effect of creating products from superconstructive plastics" (supervisor: Head of the Department, Associate Professor Ildar Musin), was awarded a diploma of the first degree. The jury members, evaluating his work, expressed their unanimous opinion.
Vilora Avilova, a member of the jury and professor of the Department of Business Statistics and Economics at KNRTU, provided an overview of the competition's progress and results.
The competition has traditionally been attended by students from classical and engineering universities. This year, students from the Kazan Cooperative Institute also presented their works, which was a pleasant surprise for the competition organizers. Five projects from the Kazan Institute of Culture were also submitted. One of these, which was awarded a second-degree diploma, concerns a laboratory for the restoration of musical instruments using innovative technologies, which is already accepting orders.
The competition is held annually and participants can take part as individuals or in teams.
