The winners and prize-winners of the Student League of the XII CASE-IN Championship were announced in Moscow. Participating teams from different universities of Russia offered the best engineering solutions for the implementation of lean manufacturing principles in 10 areas of industry. The cases were developed by representatives of industry companies: ALROSA, United Company RUSAL, Yakut Fuel and Energy Company, SIBUR Holding, System Operator of the Unified Energy System, Gazprom Energoholding, Metropolis, Rosseti, and NIPIGAZ.

Three teams from KNRTU went to the final stage in the capital of our country. According to the results of the competition days in the direction of Project Engineering our team “Prolean” - students of the Department of Innovation in Chemical Engineering Daria Pudova, Roman Kopyrin and Enzhe Shagaleeva (mentor - Associate Professor of the Department of Innovation in Chemical Engineering Svetlana Gadelshina) took 2nd place.

In Petrochemistry our guys were less lucky: they could take only 4th place (team “Mayar”) and 11th place (“Technologists”).

However, the project supervisor from KNRTU - leading engineer of the Department of Educational and Project Activities of Students Elina Vasilieva was awarded a diploma for special contribution to the development and organization of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN.

“For the guys it is a great experience to present their skills on the federal platform. They demonstrate applied knowledge, gain experience in solving real cases, which they can then apply in production. In addition, a pleasant bonus of the organizers – the winners and prize-winners will be able to enroll in Master’s and PhD programs of 30 partner universities on preferential terms, as well as to undergo paid internships in leading companies with the possibility of subsequent employment”, – said Elina Vasilieva.
