The end of June is a busy time for diploma defences. Some students of KNRTU perform their graduation works in the format "Startup as a diploma". Among the innovators is Alina Zavgorodnyaya, a student of the Department of Innovation in Chemical Technology. She defended a startup as a diploma on the topic "Feasibility Study of the Device Production to Ensure a Clear Field of Vision (based on electrochromic film)". Behind the complicated scientific title is the development of glasses for people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
“They are necessary for concentration. These glasses limit peripheral vision, and wearers can only see in front of them. Some people are so unable to concentrate that they can be distracted by a fly," Alina explains.
In addition, the glasses change colour by means of an electrochromic film. It is energised via batteries. The user can choose the level of darkening. The glasses will be manufactured on a 3D printer from polylactide. They can be worn by people with any vision: they can be fitted with ordinary lenses or with dioptres. There are no analogues of such products either in Russia or abroad, although according to research data only in our country about 2% of people already have this syndrome and in the near future their number will increase to 12%.
About 5 million roubles is required at the start. The developers plan to sell their product through a network of optical shops in the Republic of Tatarstan.
