The participants of KNRTU-BUCT Double Degree Program at Beijing University of Chemical Technology arrived to Kazan after studying in China for one year.

To share their experience on their studies at BUCT as well as their plans for the future at home university, our students met with Prof. Yury Kazakov, Rector of KNRTU.

The students mentioned that educational process in Chinese university is at a very high level, and they have gained only positive impressions from Beijing: they were able to find a lot of new friends from all over the world, and to obtain valuable experience.

Almaz Akhmadishin, the third-year student from the Institute of Polymers, shared his thoughts: “We were taught by the true professionals in the polymer chemistry. All of them were Chinese and they had a lot of experience working on the largest industrial enterprises. The study process was in English, and if something was confusing for us, our mentors were always there to help”.

The students have experienced some issues within their stay in China as well: visa processing, navigating in big cities, and etc. Nevertheless, all of them are sure that KNRTU / BUCT Double Degree program is worth the struggle.

Now the students are planning to spend their two-months summer holidays at home, and in September they will continue their studies in China, they have to defend two theses in a year at BUCT and KNRTU. And after graduation, they will be employed at SIBUR partner company, that covers scholarship and transport expenses for the students within the program.

Beijing University of Chemical Technology is also going to welcome another group of KNRTU students in September. This year students from the Institute of Mechanical Engineering for Chemical and Petrochemical Industry are participating in the same program.
