KNRTU Team “NCT” got award-winning places at 4th “Cheer StuntFest Millennium” International Festival, which took place on July 13th at the Kazan Kremlin Embankment.

This year 70 cheerleaders from Russia and Kazakhstan have participated. The competition was supported by Cheerleading Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan. It included two main disciplines – individual and partner stunts, as well as two additional disciplines – basket toss and acrobatics, which were divided into several nominations and qualifications.

The teams have shown prepared performances during “TEAM Performance” segment. Besides that, there were additional nominations, such as “BACK FLIP”, “BASKET TOSS” and “Jeopardy”. At the finals teams whose stunts made it to top-5 demonstrated their flyer-holding skills and repetition stamina one more time. Everything was judged by coaches and cheerteam’s leaders from Tyumen, Yekaterinburg and Cheboksary. The President of Kazakhstan Federation of Cheer Sport was also one of the judges.

KNRTU Team “NCT” was chosen the best in “Team Performance: group stunt” and “Power-F: group stunt” nominations. They also showed the highest toss.

“Usually, during the summer there are no competitions, so a lot of teams stop practicing until next season. The “Cheer StuntFest Millennium” Festival gives the ability to continue practicing and improving. This event is very popular since there is no fee to participate and no time limit for performances. Usually, at the contests like this everyone has from one and a half to three minutes to show yourself. “Cheer StuntFest Millennium” is five hours long, which gives plenty of time to demonstrate your skills”, said Rafkat Sakhapov, the coach of “NCT” who organized the festival.
