Liliya Kadyrova, a student of the Institute of Light Industry, Fashion and Design, under the guidance of Ludmila Nikitina, Associate Professor of the Department of Clothes and Footwear Design, has developed a model of footwear that will be put into production.
The model represents boots for employees who have to work “in the fields”. When designing the product, Lilia focused on the needs of workers in the oil industry, but the developed model is also suitable for gas industry specialists, road builders and other representatives of working professions. The boots are made as comfortable and reliable as possible. For additional foot fixation there is a strong lacing and special composite buckles.
The design of the product was made by a novice fashion designer during her internship at the production facilities of the BARS Footwear Company. Now the new boots exist only in digital format, but soon a test batch will go into production.
“It is always pleasant to receive positive feedback from industry professionals about the work of our students. During their internship, our students not only had time to familiarize themselves with the production process, but also to develop new models. Launching a student project into production is a huge achievement and a point of pride for our institute!” notes the Director of the Institute of Light Industry, Fashion and Design, Professor Elmira Khairullina.
