KNRTU students who will go to China as participants of Double Degree Program have started to get ready for studying abroad. To help them with the preparations, a special three-day program was held at KNRTU Creative Space.
On the 10th of August, the students have visited The Temple of All Religion and immersed themselves in the world of Buddhism, which is considered one of the main religions in China. This event served as an opportunity to see the cultural diversity and expand the view of the world.
On the second day of the event, the students together with Associate Professor Daniel Bugembe and Head of Protocol Department of International Affairs Marina Galimzyanova have practiced their English skills by speaking and answering some questions about intercultural communication questions.
On the last day of the event, there was “Cultural Variety” case which was led by Venera Tokar, Chief Federal and Local Projects Specialist of KNRTU Continuous Education Center.
Students have gotten acquainted with “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team” (by Patrick Lencioni), analyzed the most common problems in teamwork and got familiar with the resolution methods of interpersonal conflict.
As Venera Tokar says: “Diving into practical-oriented work in the form of interactive games and lectures is the key to forming multicultural communication skills and building teamwork. It can help the students with adaptation to the new realities of studying abroad”.
