Sergey Saveliev and Alsu Fazullina, Associate Professors of the Department of Engineering Ecology, as well as Anna Savelieva, Assistant of the same department completed internship in Tomskneftekhim (subsidiary of PJSC Sibur Holding) on the program “Treatment of Waste Water Generated by Pyrolysis of Hydrocarbons in the Production of Polyethylene and Polypropylene”.

The lecturers got acquainted with the technologies of monomer extraction from gasoline pyrolysis products, modern local treatment facilities for wastewater generated in the above-mentioned production and the technology of water demineralization used in steam-power production.

The obtained information will be implemented in the educational process in the form of new topics for course and diploma projects. An agreement was also negotiated on practical training of KNRTU students at the production facility “Tomskneftekhim” with the possibility of subsequent employment.
