During the week, colleagues from the Siberian Federal University are holding a series of lectures at KNRTU on the development of Siberia and other regions of Russia, as well as on Digital Humanities and Information Technologies in Humanities Studies. Rich in new information and experience, the classes and round tables became possible due to the grant of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan "Algarysh".
Since November 11, Professor of the Siberian Federal University Denis Gergilyov has been giving a course of lectures on the History of Administrative and Territorial Development of Russia.
The lectures are included in the curriculum of the course “Foundations of Russian Statehood”. Among the topics that will be touched upon during the classes are Siberia in the Middle Ages, peculiarities of Siberia's development in the XVII-XVIII centuries, resettlement policy of the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries and many other issues.
On November 14, a round table and meeting of the faculty of the Institute of Innovation Management with the Сandidate of Philological Sciences of Siberian Federal University Maria Lapteva took place. The meeting was organized by the Director of the Institute of Innovation Management Rushania Zinurova.
Until November 20, Maria Lapteva gives lectures to students on the Application of Information Technologies in solving scientific and applied problems in the Humanities and social fields of knowledge and professions, on the prospects of Digital Humanities in Russia and the world, creative urban industries, the application of neural networks and artificial intelligence in culture, etc.
During the round table she shared her experience in using modern digital tools for the preservation of Siberia's cultural heritage with students and described the implemented projects of digitization of museum exhibits, architectural monuments.
In turn, colleagues from KNRTU told about digitization of historical monuments, online and VR-excursions to the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, about publishing projects on the cultural heritage of the Tatar people. They spoke about digital projects of students within the framework of “digital departments”.
And, of course, during the meeting they discussed the ethical aspects of using new technologies. After all, it is not a goal, but only a tool that allows to recreate and preserve cultural heritage, to interest the young, and to pass on artistic and historical images to new generations.
