Kazan Technological College celebrated 85 years since its’ founding with a concert and ceremony in Cultural Center “Moskovsky”.

The history of college began in 1939. Back then it was Chemical-Technological Technical College with “Chemistry and High Molecular Mass Compound Technology” as the only specialty available. Later the list of specialties expanded. In 1998 Chemical-Technological Technical College became a part of Kazan State Technological University.

Marat F. Vakhitov, the Director of Kazan Technological College, said that right now there are more than 2 000 students from all across Russia studying in the college. The students are successful in a lot of areas, including studying, sports, arts and young professionals’ movement.

Aleksandr Livshits, the Director of Kazan State-Owned Gunpowder Factory, said that the establishment of future college back in 1939 was one of the wisest decisions to combat the need for trained personnel in the defense industry. Kazan State-Owned Gunpowder Factory is one of the partners of Kazan Technological College.

“Kazan Helicopters”, “Tatspirtprom”, “Nefis Cosmetics”, and many other enterprises have also sent their congratulations.

Director of Professional Competence Development Center Emil F. Gubaidullin noted, that Kazan Technological College is an active participant in Professional Skills Championship "Professionals". It is also a specialized center for three competencies. This year the students were awarded in regional round of “Professionals” in 9 competencies. There were also students who, as a part of a team, became the winners of the All-Russian stages in 3 competencies.

At the end of the concert Marat F. Vakhitov thanked all of the partners for being years-long collaborators and supporters, whom made the successful development of college possible.
