Last week, a meeting between the delegation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international students of our university took place in building "A". The guests were welcomed by Airat Kh. Muratov, Vice Rector for Security and Gulnaz Lutfullina, Head of Educational and Methodological Office. Erlan Iskakov, the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted the similar mentality of our Republics, expressed complete openness to the requests of the students, and set the format of the meeting as an open discussion: students asked questions to the consular representatives, left comments, and made suggestions.

Currently, there are 62 students from Kazakhstan studying at KNRTU. One of the discussed issues was safety, as well as respect for our country's laws, traditions, history, and culture by foreign students. Students expressed concerns about the registration of foreign citizens and their registration in Kazan. Representatives of the Consulate and activists from KNRTU also discussed medical examination and part-time work during non-study hours.
