Andrey Goryachev, a postgraduate student of the Institute of Petroleum, Chemistry and Nanotechnologies of KNRTU, is going to the finals of the first season of the business reality show “Rank of Excellence: Course for a Billion”. The project, organized by the initiative of the “Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation”, is a media startup about entrepreneurship. The name “Rank of Excellence” is a modern interpretation of the reforms of Peter the Great and the “Table of Ranks” of 1722, which opened the way for talented youth. The goal of the event is to create a demonstration platform “Superiority-Rank.rf” («Высший-ранг.рф») for a strategic development and professional growth of participants in the field of innovation

“I defended my graduate qualification work at the “All-Russian Startup as Diploma” contest and made it to the top 5 finalist participants from all over Russia. Under the guidance of Elena A. Emelyanycheva, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Technology of Petroleum and Gas Processing, I developed two products - a high-quality emulsifier for bitumen emulsions and an additive for asphalt concrete mixes. As a part of the contest, representatives of one of the event's partners - the all-Russia Public Organization “Business Russia” - talked to the students about further cooperation and support for some projects. I was among them: I was offered to star in a business reality show,” says Andrey Goryachev.

During a week of filming in September 2024, the participants of the TV-game took a training in financial literacy, familiarized themselves with modern methods of promoting innovative products, defended their projects in front of investors, demonstrated management competencies and directly asked questions to representatives of government agencies and departments.

Now Andrey is going to Stavropol for the finale of the first season, the winners of which will be awarded with 20 million rubles for the development of start-ups, and then he will take a part in the filming of the second season. The business reality show “Rank of Excellence: Course for a Billion” will be launched on federal television very soon.
