Gazprom Neft was ranked among the most attractive employers in the country according to the results of a survey of students and young specialists conducted by analysts of the Best Company Award rating. Students from 40 Russian universities and 2024 graduates took part in the survey.

Respondents rated more than 200 companies that are actively developing their employer brand and are using advanced programs to attract talented young professionals.

Gazprom Neft became the most popular place to work in the industry: the number of young people on the staff is more than 30000 (every third person in the company). About 6% of employees are recently graduated from universities and colleges. Competitive salary rates, work&life balance, respectful approach to employees, stability, flexible schedules and prospects for professional growth were cited as attractive factors for working at the company.

All Gazprom Neft subsidiaries have implemented personnel development programs. For example, Gazprom Neft Bituminous Materials has a mentorship system for young specialists and provides opportunities for employee professional development and additional education. The company is actively developing various formats of cooperation with the leading universities within the framework of the Gazprom Neft University League system.

“Young specialists with their out-of-the-box mindset and clear vision help us develop the hi-tech business of bitumen. They participate in processes to improve small mechanization tools, implement new solutions for recipe generation, product control, quality forecasting and planning optimization. Strong cooperation with universities allows us to develop professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge starting from the university level. For example, last year we opened a specialized bitumen laboratory at KNRTU and launched a completely new education program for future oil and road engineers – specialists at the intersection of the oil refining and road construction industries – that is new to our country. The annual internship program at Gazprom Neft Bituminous Materials helped our students from different regions of Russia to understand personally why it is interesting and promising to work for our company,” commented Ilya Kudryashov, Director of the Gazprom Neft Bituminous Materials Research Center.
