The names of the winners of the Vladimir Potanin named scholarship competition for 2024/2025 academic year have been announced. Among them are five representatives from KNRTU: Vyacheslav Ariskin, Alevtina Shulnikova (Institute of Food Engineering and Biotechnology), Maria Kondratyeva, Ekaterina Lebedka, and Danil Fattakhov (Institute of Petroleum, Chemistry and Nanotechnologies).
Some of the students have won scholarship competitions multiple times. For example, Maria Kondratyeva, currently pursuing her first-year Master’s Degree in Innovational Bitumen Products and Technologies (a program developed jointly with Gazpromneft Bitumen Materials LLC), is a recipient of the Special State Scholarship of the Republic of Tatarstan for the 2023/2024 academic year and a scholarship holder from the Government of the Russian Federation.
We know others for their creative activities. Ekaterina Lebedka, also a Master’s Degree student in the Innovational Bitumen Products and Technologies program, spent four years of her undergraduate studies participating in several vocal and theatrical groups at KNRTU. She served as a cultural organizer for the Institute of Petroleum, Chemistry and Nanotechnologies, engaged in writing scripts, and directed institute concerts for festivals like Students Spring and Freshman’s Day.
It’s worth noting that applicants for the scholarship were required to demonstrate active research work within their field, experience in project management, and involvement in socially meaningful and creative teamwork.
Angelina Shulnikova won several competitions, including one for ecological research among university students organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. She also excelled in the national scientific works competition named after N.I. Lobachevsky, the regional student environmental festival “Green Step 2023” and the republican ecological case-championship “Green Echpochmak”.
Vyacheslav Ariskin, a second-year Master's Degree student from the Institute of Food Engineering and Biotechnology, serves on the public council of PJSC "Kazanorgsintez," is a member of the youth parliament under the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, and leads the political internet community "Political Kitchen". In 2022, he won the republican personnel competition "Up!" Looking ahead, Vyacheslav plans to enroll in the postgraduate program at KNRTU in the field of "Quality Management," focusing on scientific research and teaching.
We are proud that such students study at our university and wish them further success in their professional and personal development!
