KNRTU held a series of working meetings with Svetlana Karstina, Professor at the Department of Physics and Nanotechnology of Karaganda Buketov University. The visit of Svetlana Karstina to our university is not the first, so business meetings with faculty and university administration have already turned into a warm tradition.

During her visit, Prof. Karstina met with Dilbar Sultanova, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of KNRTU. Both parties shared their experience in the development and implementation of educational programs, as well as discussed the issues of quality engineering education. Prof. Karstina shared peculiarities of the educational process in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“In our country, 2025 has been declared the Year of Working Professions. To ensure quality training of employees after graduation and before assuming professional positions, students must pass an exam. This serves as our personnel training monitoring system. To evaluate new educational programs, we register them on a special platform and engage three independent experts from both academic and industrial sectors for assessment”, said Svetlana Karstina.

At the meeting’s conclusion, Dilbar Sultanova presented Prof. Karstina with a certificate recognizing her development and implementation of the “Innovations in Engineering Pedagogy” educational program.

As part of the Republic of Tatatstan Government’s “Algarysh” grant program, from April 1st through 11th, Svetlana Karstina delivered a series of lectures at the Department of Professional and Pedagogical Education of KNRTU. Approximately 30 faculty members of KNRTU from various Departments attended the course and soon receive Advanced Training Certificates.
