All-Russian scientific and educational conference with international participation "Modern Technologies in the Field of Environmental Protection and Technosphere Safety-2025" was held at KNRTU. This year the event was dedicated to the 135th anniversary of Kazan National Research Technological University.

The conference has been held at the Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology since 2021. The event brings together leading scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences, universities, research institutes, organizations and enterprises of Russia and neighboring countries in the field of Industrial Ecology and Environmental Protection.

“We have been engaged in the training of environmental protection specialists and scientific developments in this field for over 50 years. It is very impressive that many colleagues in Russia and abroad are involved in the problems of wastewater treatment, as well as utilization of industrial production and consumption waste. The conference is designed to unite efforts and establish scientific cooperation to work together on environmental protection and rational use of natural resources,” commented Professor Ildar G. Shayhiev.

The conference included 10 reports, four presentations by scientists from Belarus, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Russia were held online. Thus, Associate Professor of the Department of Engineering Ecology Arkady Yaroshevsky spoke about the problems and programs of the Volga River rehabilitation, Professor of the Department of Business Statistics and Economics Vilora Avilova raised the topic of implementation of the strategy of technological sovereignty. Students of the Department of Engineering Ecology Zulfira Gaptrakhmanova, Alexander Paigachkin and Ramilya Sayfutdinova presented reports on the following topics: “Ecological aspects of sewage sludge application as fertilizer for urban landscaping”, “Popularization of environmental protection and scientific research activities in the field of ecology among young people in the current socio-cultural situation” and “Prospect of sugar production waste recycling”.

“For me, the opportunity to exchange experience is very significant. I always enjoy my visits to Kazan. I believe that environmental engineering is the first in terms of importance! Let's try to preserve the environment together,” said Andrey Vasiliev, Professor of Samara State Technical University.
