The results of the RTSIM Summer Technology Camp, which was held online from July 22 to August 17, 2025, have been summed up. The students of the Institute of Petroleum, Chemistry and Nanotechnology of KNRTU took the first prize in two training modules. Having shown excellent results, Shamil Gataullin (Technology of basic organic and petrochemical synthesis department) became the best in the beginner group (pictured on the left), and Aynur Safin (Department of Chemical Technology of Oil and Gas Refining) became the best in the advanced one (pictured on the right).
All participants of the technology camp mastered digital models of oil and gas equipment, practiced the start and stop of technological installations, received advice from mentors and prepared for interviews in leading industry companies.
"I am glad that RTSIM has provided an opportunity to develop soft skills – communication skills, the ability to work with information, stress tolerance and self-organization. The camp also hosted streams with representatives of enterprises, where we were told about the subtleties that may be useful to a future employee of oil and gas companies at the beginning of their career. In my opinion, I won thanks to the constant preparation, as well as an understanding of the work of the installation itself and the processes taking place in it. All this was available on the simulators. I would also like to thank my mentors, the experienced RTSIM engineers, who shared their knowledge and answered questions," Shamil Gataullin shared his impressions.
RTsim simulators use adequate mathematical models of technological processes and principles of game mechanics via the Internet. Thousands of employees have already been trained on the simulators, reducing capital costs and reducing the launch time of the oil and gas processing plant.
The invited expert at the final stream of the camp was Elvira Garifullina, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Technology of Oil and Gas Refining. She heads the Digital Technologist Club, and is also the head of the Master's degree program "Technological Service of Gas Processing" at Promkhimtech KNRTU.
"Over the course of three broadcasts, we learned how to find ourselves in the oil and gas industry, compile a resume and get an interview, as well as settle into a new workplace. The main skills I acquired during the camp were understanding and managing technological processes, as well as running technological installations. I liked the level of organization of the event the most, including the learning process, clarity and accessibility of information," said Aynur Safin.
RTSIM Summer Technology Camp was held in the format of online conferences and practice in virtual groups.
