The Archipelago 2025 design and educational intensive has been completed at the Skolkovo Innovation Center as part of the international Unmanned Systems Forum. The event was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Government of Moscow, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the NTI Platform, the NTI Foundation and the University of 2035.
KNRTU was represented at the intensive course by a team of students from the Institute of Management, Automation and Information Technology — Alim Sadullaev, Timur Gapterakhmanov, Niyaz Nizamiev, Egor Romanov. The guys took part in the engineering competition "Cyberimmune drone autonomy". The participants proved themselves in three key areas of knowledge and skills at once: programming, information security and unmanned aircraft systems. University teams created cyberimmune software for the drone, which will allow the UAV to comply with security requirements in the face of cyber-attacks, complete a flight mission and deliver cargo to the recipient, despite hackers' attempts to prevent this.
"The trip left extremely positive impressions. It was very interesting to observe the work of drones in real flight tasks and test our own solutions. I was especially inspired by the live communication with experts and other teams, which made the atmosphere friendly and motivating. I was most impressed with the practical part of the competition — the opportunity to immediately test my solutions on autonomous drones. It was also very valuable to communicate with experts and share experiences with participants from other teams, which in the future will create an excellent community for professional growth in the field. I have explored new approaches to the cyberimmunity of autonomous systems that can be applied not only to drone protection, but also in other areas. Working on cases has developed the skills of time management, prioritization and teamwork, and testing solutions in a real environment has provided invaluable practical experience," said Alim Sadullaev, captain of the KNRTU team.
