During the VII All-Russian Seminar on Catalysis sacred to the memory of Professor Y.I. Ermakov, which is currently taking place at KNRTU, Artur Bagaveev, a third-year student at KNRTU, spoke.
On the second day of the conference, on October 1, he presented a report on the topic "Production technology of the tetrasulfophthalocyanine catalyst KS-TSFC"), which was presented during the work of the section "Catalytic systems for the oil refining process". Arthur's co–speaker was STC Akhmadulliny , where a talented graduate student from the Lyceum for Gifted Children with an in-depth study of chemistry at KNRTU works in parallel with his studies.
– Our catalyst is used in oil refineries – in desulfurization processes, namely oxidation and neutralization of sulfur-alkaline effluents, – said Arthur. – The demand for this catalyst at the enterprises of the country is high, we were asked to create such an import-substituting catalyst capable of meeting the need of enterprises.
During the year, Arthur worked on the development of technology for the production of tetrafluorophthalic acid and the further modification of cobalt tetrasulfophthalocyanine by treating this acid in order to increase the catalytic activity of our product.
Speaking about the difference between the developed catalyst and its rivals on the market, Artur Bagaveev stressed that the company had developed cobalt tetrasulfophthalocyanine, and not just cobalt dichlorodisulfo- or phthalocyanine. In addition, a sufficiently large production volume allows the company to make a product with a lower cost compared to competitors' products. About 100 kg of catalyst per synthesis are being produced today, and developers are striving to reach a larger volume and expand sales markets in Europe and Africa. The presentation aroused great interest among colleagues, and Arthur was asked a lot of questions about similar developments in Russia, the prospects for the production and sale of the catalyst synthesized by Artur Bagaveev together with colleagues at the Akhmadulliny Scientific and Technological Center.
Let's add that Artur Bagaveev is a participant in the video project "Tatarstan, get started!" about successful young scientists and technology entrepreneurs from Kazan universities. In the video, Arthur talked about another product he had developed with a good market prospect, and also motivated the guys not to be afraid to take on bold projects in the field of chemical technology and other high-tech areas. "Tatarstan, let's get started!" is being implemented by the KNRTU creative team with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation as part of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia
