Representatives of French and Italian Universities visit KNRTU

On September, 2nd our University hosted researchers from University of Lorraine (France), University of Rome Tor Vergata and National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (Italy).

The guests came to Kazan to participate in Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum – 2021 and visit KNRTU.

This group of researchers works under the scientific grant in the sphere of natural hydrothermal processes of petroleum hydrocarbons transformation into supercritical aqueous fluids in collaboration with Institute of Experimental Mineralogy of Russian Academy of Sciences. KNRTU researchers Alfiya Lakhova and Sergey Petrov, Chemical Technology of Petroleum and Gas Processing Department, were invited to work with them in the framework of International scientific project.

Guests met with Nataliya Bashkirceva, Director of Institute of Petroleum, Chemistry and Nanotechnologies and visited laboratories at Chemical Technology of Petroleum and Gas Processing Department and ‘NanoAnalitiks’ Integrated Laboratory. They were very interested to see possibilities of our research infrastructure and shared the experience with the colleagues working in the same field.

In the meeting with KNRTU Vice Rector for Research Aleksandr Kopylov guests discussed prospective cooperation between the universities.

Fedora Quattrocchi, professor of University of Rome Tor Vergata told about her productive joint research with Irina Plotnikova, professor of KNRTU Synthetic Rubber Technologies Department and expressed her interest to give lectures at KNRTU in future.

The representatives of University of Lorraine described their scientific interests in Tatarstan Republic and KNRTU and mentioned the possibilities of French Embassy for supporting different research programs with Russia.
