The Department has close links with the Center of International Activity of KNRTU, OJSC “Kazanorgsintez” , Academy of Sciences of the Republic Tatarstan and a number of other institutions, the teaching staff performing the work of translators and consultants.

Academics

The Department runs courses “Business Communication in a Foreign Language” for the Specialist and Bachelor’s Degree programs “Management”, “Economics of Petrochemical Industry”, “Quality Management”, “Information Technology”; courses “Foreign Languages” and “Foreign Languages: Technical Translation” for Master’s Degree students.

The Department is responsible for the all kinds of language activities of postgraduate students.

Research

Research at the Department is prevalent in applied science problems:

• foreign languages as a tool of intercultural profession-oriented communication;
• language training of experts in various spheres;
• information technologies in language teaching.
