The Department was established in 1998. The Department is chaired by Full Professor Nailya Sh. Valeeva.

The graduates are equipped with applied, transferrable skills suited to a constantly changing labour market, they can choose from a wide range of careers in the public sector, local government, civil service, industry and commerce, education, counseling, legal and advice work, social work, social research, personnel management.

Academics

The Department runs Specialist Degree program “Social Work”. Within this program students major in different fields such as social and psychological consulting, social and legal assistance and consulting of citizens, social technologies in human resources management, social work at enterprises.

The Department runs 76 courses.

The Department offers Ph.D. Degree programs and Posdoctoral positions.

Research

Psychological and pedagogical aspects of professional training of specialists majoring in Social work. The staff produced an impressive range of books and research articles on issues connected with social work.
