A LECTURE COURSE BY ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR FROM VIETNAM WAS COMPLETED IN KNRTU

From May 15th till May 24th at the Department of Synthetic Rubber Technology within the grant of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan “Algarysh” a series of lectures on the educational program “Biopolymer-based Nanomaterials and their Application” took place at KNRTU by Prof. Dr. Le Quang Dien, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST).

On May 21st, Prof. Dr. Le Quang Dien and professors from the Department of Synthetic Rubber Technology, Lyubov Zenitova and Alevtina Rakhmatullina met with Dilbar Sultanova, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs to discuss the results of the work.

“Thank you very much for the opportunity to communicate and work with colleagues”, appreciated Dien. The Vietnamese scientist has been to KNRTU before, he defended his PhD thesis here. In turn, Professors Zenitova and Rakhmatullina and their students have long-standing professional ties with Vietnam and intend to expand them.

The topic on which Le Quang Dien is working - the production of nanocellulose and nanochitosans from biological material. The topic is of interest not only to students of the Institute of Polymers, but also to representatives of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering for Chemical and Petrochemical Industry, Institute of Food Engineering and Biotechnology. Colleagues from the Arbuzov Institute of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and the Institute of Food Production and Biotechnology are also very interested in the subject. A. E. “KNRTU is very close to the ideology of “green” universities and we appreciate the opportunities of contacts with universities around the world, where these values are also shared”, said Dilbar Sultanova.

The parties concluded that the broad cooperation between Russian and Vietnamese universities is definitely promising. Long-standing ties between KNRTU and Hanoi University of Science and Technology will be significantly expanded. This will be reflected in the prepared draft of a new cooperation agreement.
