On May 24, KNRTU held a meeting dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the honored worker of science and technology of the RSFSR, organizer and the first Head of the Department of varnishes and paints of the Lensovet Leningrad Institute of Chemical Technology (1932-1957), Head of the Department of Technology of varnishes and paints of the Kazan Chemical Technology Institute named after S. M. Kirov (1941-1944), Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Anatoly Yakovlevich Drinberg.

The event was organized by the Department of Plasma Technology and Nanotechnology of High Molecular Weight Materials, where today the directions of training related to the technology of varnishes and paints are implemented. During the meeting the participants talked about the life of Prof. Drinberg and his contribution to science and production, recalled the stages of development of the scientific and pedagogical school in the field of varnish and paint technology at university.
