The team from the Department of IT Security made it to the finals of the Cyber Code 2024 contest organized by the Volga State University of Telecommunications and Informatics in Samara. The team consisted of 3rd and 4th year Bachelor's Degree students Daniil Merezhnikov, Lev Lesnoy, Leonid Rodionov, Kamil Sultanov and Nikita Chertilin.

The final stage of the competition was a serious test: the students had to fix ready-made applications on a dedicated server, extract a large amount of data from them, automate the selection of the necessary information and perform its decryption to obtain a flag. Our team demonstrated a high level of preparation and excellent results both at the qualifying stage and in the finals.

“This is not the first contest for the students, in September they took part in a cyber battle as part of the Kazan Digital Week International Forum program and, in general, they regularly participate in similar events, where they strengthen and develop the skills acquired at the Department of Information Security. We are proud of the team spirit of our students, which allowed them to show a worthy result.
