Professor Alexey Shinkevich, Chair of the Department of Logistics and Management of KNRTU, became a laureate of the Macarius Prize in Natural Sciences. The award ceremony in memory of Metropolitan of Moscow and Macarius (Bulgakov) Kolomensky was held at the Russian Academy of Sciences.

A total of 68 scientific papers from 20 regions of the Russian Federation were submitted to the contest. 119 people participated, including 6 academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Alexey Shinkevich received the prize for the cycle of scientific studies entitled “Intellectual and Computational Methods of Optimization of Energy and Environmental Efficiency and Environmental Safety of Chemical-Energy Processes and Engineering of Organizational and Logistic Structure of Industrial Clusters in a Closed-Cycle Economy”.

Currently, the Macarius Prize is one of the most famous prizes in Russia. It is awarded annually: one year - for achievements in the humanities, the other - in the natural sciences.
