KNRTU WILL START CREATING 3D DESIGN FOR INDUSTRIAL ROBOTS

14.11.2024

KNRTU will start to create 3D design projects, designs and mock-ups of robots for industrial production by order of the Robotics Consortium.

The creation of Robot Design in our university was agreed at the scientific and technical conference “Extreme Robotics”, which was attended by Chair of the Department of Design Prof. Venera Khamatova, as well as 2nd year Bachelor’s Degree students studying in the field of 15.03.06 Mechatronics and Robotics (Design of Robots and Robotics Systems).

“To accomplish this task, we have agreed with the enterprises of the Robotics Consortium to increase the pace of development and production. In the near future we will receive a technical specification and in the training workshop “3D Design and Mock-up” we will begin to create 3D design projects, designs and mock-ups of robots, where the architecture of axis motion control systems will also be improved, for further implementation at enterprises that will produce and integrate robots into production processes”, - said Prof. Venera Khamatova.

She also noted that the enterprises are ready to assist in training specialists in the integration of industrial and service robots. At the moment, the current curriculum in this area is being reviewed and discussed among the consortium members in order to train specialists to meet the needs of the enterprises, inviting our students for industrial and pre-graduation practices.

“The Extreme Robotics Conference is a great place, there are no divisions by age or status, everyone is equal and shares their ideas. I found a lot of new ideas, prospects, contacts, and also discovered the flaws that we had in our prototype. Several people I have met have shared their ideas, technical solutions, contacts of those who can help in further development of our projects. This place was created to unite like-minded people and help accelerate the development of robotics in the country,” said Maxim Antonov, a Second-year Bachelor’s Degree student of KNRTU.
