In the framework of the visit, the delegation took part in the meeting with Akim and members of Akimat of Astana region. After that, the delegation met Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan Kassym - Jomart Tokayev and members of the Senate. The partnership opportunities and collaboration issues were discussed during these meetings. Later that day, the delegation of Tatarstan met with heads of Tatar communities in Kazakhstan.
After that, Tatarstan President - Rustam Minnikhanov, Akim of Astana Imangali Tasmagambetov and official delegations of Tatarstan and Kazakhstan took part in a big gala concert of Tatarstan masters of art held at the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation in Astana within the framework of Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazakhstan.
On the next day, the delegation of Tatarstan met with the Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Masimov at Kazakhstan Government House. Also, at their meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov and Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbaev discussed the key issues of cooperation in trade-economic and humanitarian spheres.
Later that day, the delegation of Tatarstan took part in Tatar holiday Sabantui, which was massively celebrated in Astana. The celebrations took place near Khan Shatyr centre. The guests looked around the exhibition of industrial and agricultural potential of Tatarstan, where KNRTU presented their produce and research results as well.
